Events and Celebrations

Along with the academic studies the children have variety of exposures to take out their hidden talents like, drawing, performing fine arts, music, dance both classical and folk, computer, general knowledge, debates, elocutions, quiz, group discussions etc. are regularly held to develop their talent. All the national and as well as social festivals are celebrated to develop the sense of oneness and belonging.

  • Annual Grand-Parents’ Day : Every year "Annual Grand- Parents’ Day" is celebrated in our school. It develops love and sense of responsibility of children towards their grandparents and to inculcate joint family values among the students. Many fun games for grandparents are organized to make our grandparents feel special.
  • Annual Sports Day : for the primary and nursery classes are held. Physical Education department sees to it that the young learners remain active and healthy and nurture positive physical culture among the students. The tiny tots came in various fancy costumes and made the place look bright and colorful. There were various competitions for students, teachers, parents and the administrative staff like the running race, relay, lemon race, slow cycling, gunny sack race and many more.
  • Annual Day : With the start of every session the busy and hectic schedule, classes, activities, exams and functions each have their own charms, fears and frolic. But still there is something that every school looks forward during each session and that is the Annual day Programme.
  • Art and Craft Exhibition : Louise Nevelson once stated: “Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind. The art & craft teachers bring colour to the curriculum children are encouraged to showcase their creativity by displaying their art and craft projects, which are prepared throughout the year. Household items like glass, bangles, matchsticks, paper, and cotton wool were used to create decorations, wall-hangings, pen-stands, and many other craft items. The hard work and dedication with which the projects were made was evident in their beauty and precision. Pre-primary and primary students displayed their art work including thumb-printing, hand-printing, and paper-sticking projects.
  • Mothers Day : There are a lot of games and activities which may be planned on Mothers Day. But besides the euphoria of celebration people must not forget that the day is meant to make mothers feel special. On Mothers Day, children must be nice to their mom and give them a days rest. Its a wonderful idea to complete household chores on the day and make your mama feel that you acknowledge the importance of all she does to run the house so smoothly. Elder children may book a parlor or a spa treatment for mothers and make them care for themselves as most mothers find it difficult to get time for themselves.
  • Christmas Day : Students and staff celebrated Christmas at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School with enthusiasm. They reflected upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and his life. The tiny tots of K.G. wing sang carols. The students attired as Santa Claus attracted the attention of the audience.The children sang in very festive mood “Jingle Bells” and danced to the numbers like “We wish you a Merry Christmas” etc. The whole school echoed with the holy hymns recited by the students.
  • Independence Day / Republic Day : India great national festivals are celebrated with great pomp and show .students dressed in pretty costumes of different states of India mark the cultural unity of India .
  • Swami Vivekanand Jayanti : Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebrates the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda’s birthday falls on the Paush Krishna Saptami, the 7th day after the full moon day in the Hindu month of Paush. Therefore the date varies from year to year. In 2009, the date of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is on January 17 as per traditional Hindu calendar. According to the English calendar or the generally used Indian Calendar, Swami Vivekananda was born on January 12, 1863.

On this day people remember and honor saint is by understanding his/her teachings. Swami Vivekananda has given his valuable thoughts on several topics. It is for us to pick up these pearls of wisdom and contemplate apply it in our daily life. This can be done not just on his birthday but on all days of the year.
